Callisto is the last word in sophistication. The guest list is limited to 34—a group large enough to bring together an interesting mix, but small enough to foster a true spirit of community. Beautifully appointed and filled with amenities one would expect to find in a fine country house, the 17 cabins feature large windows (portholes on the Daphne Deck) that look out on the sea.

Cabins also feature:

• Satellite TV, DVD/CD player
• Telephone
• Mini-refrigerator
• Marble-appointed bathroom with fine toiletries
• Plush terry robes and slippers
• Fresh flowers and fruit basket
• 24-hour room service

Decorated with rich fabrics, handsome wood, polished brass, rare antiquities and fine works of art, the yacht’s public spaces are warm and inviting. These include:

• Library with Internet access
• Lounge with audiovisual facilities
• Dining room
• Two sun decks
• Jacuzzi
• Swimming platform

Itinerary

Sunday, August 16:  Embark - Venice, Italy

Arrive in Venice and transfer to the port to board Callisto. Overnight aboard ship docked in Venice, where water and light work a special magic on the ancient stones and canals.

Monday, August 17:  Venice

GOLF: Play the opening round at Circolo Golf Venezia, entered through the remains of an old fortress and set on the island of Lido.
TOUR: Explore some of Venice’s main landmarks, including St. Mark’s Basilica and the Doge’s Palace. There will also be free time before the ship sails in the evening.

Tuesday, August 18:  Ravenna, Emilia Romagna, Italy

Callisto enters the canal that leads to Ravenna, once the capital of the Western Empire.
GOLF: Play the Adriatic Golf Club Cervia, set between the sea and an old forest of pines.  Co-designed by Marco Croze, who has crafted some of Italy’s best courses, it is a blend of Scottish link and American classic styles.
TOUR: Visit Byzantine churches dating from the 5th and 6th centuries, including the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia and the Basilica of San Vitale.

Wednesday, August 19:  Pesaro, Marches, Italy

Arrive in handsome Pesaro, on Italy’s Adriatic Coast.
GOLF: Drive to the renowned resort town of Rimini to play Rimini Golf Club, designed by Brian M. Silva and set in a beautiful landscape with lakes and hills.

Thursday, August 20:  Vis Island, Komiza, Croatia

TOUR: The ship anchors at a secluded bay at the island of Vis, where we may enjoy a morning swim. Closed to outsiders until the fall of Yugoslavia, Vis is one of Croatia’s most unspoiled islands. Dock at Komiza, which has kept its medieval character and architecture.  Explore Komiza on your own before sailing.

Friday, August 21:  Molfetta, Puglia, Italy

Arrive in Molfetta, a picturesque fishing port on Italy’s Puglia Coast.
GOLF: Drive to Barialto Golf Club, created by William W. Amick and Giorgio Ferraris. Set amidst palm and olive trees, the course features strategically placed sand obstacles and five lakes.
