Sunday, August 16: Embark - Venice, Italy
Arrive in Venice and transfer to the port to board Callisto. Overnight aboard ship docked in Venice, where water and light work a special magic on the ancient stones and canals.
Monday, August 17: Venice
GOLF: Play the opening round at Circolo Golf Venezia, entered through the remains of an old fortress and set on the island of Lido.
TOUR: Explore some of Venice’s main landmarks, including St. Mark’s Basilica and the Doge’s Palace. There will also be free time before the ship sails in the evening.
Tuesday, August 18: Ravenna, Emilia Romagna, Italy
Callisto enters the canal that leads to Ravenna, once the capital of the Western Empire.
GOLF: Play the Adriatic Golf Club Cervia, set between the sea and an old forest of pines. Co-designed by Marco Croze, who has crafted some of Italy’s best courses, it is a blend of Scottish link and American classic styles.
TOUR: Visit Byzantine churches dating from the 5th and 6th centuries, including the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia and the Basilica of San Vitale.
Wednesday, August 19: Pesaro, Marches, Italy
Arrive in handsome Pesaro, on Italy’s Adriatic Coast.
GOLF: Drive to the renowned resort town of Rimini to play Rimini Golf Club, designed by Brian M. Silva and set in a beautiful landscape with lakes and hills.
TOUR: Discover Urbino, one of Italy’s best-preserved Renaissance towns, built on two hills overlooking the glorious countryside. Visit the National Gallery of the Marches in the Palazzo Ducale and see the house of native son and Renaissance master, Raphael.
Thursday, August 20: Vis Island, Komiza, Croatia
TOUR: The ship anchors at a secluded bay at the island of Vis, where we may enjoy a morning swim. Closed to outsiders until the fall of Yugoslavia, Vis is one of Croatia’s most unspoiled islands. Dock at Komiza, which has kept its medieval character and architecture. Explore Komiza on your own before sailing.
Friday, August 21: Molfetta, Puglia, Italy
Arrive in Molfetta, a picturesque fishing port on Italy’s Puglia Coast.
GOLF: Drive to Barialto Golf Club, created by William W. Amick and Giorgio Ferraris. Set amidst palm and olive trees, the course features strategically placed sand obstacles and five lakes.
TOUR: Explore Molfetta and white-painted Trani, an ancient town with a superb 11th-century cathedral.
Saturday, August 22: Korcula Island, Sipan, Dubrovnik, Croatia
TOUR: Arrive in Korcula, with white limestone spires and domes set against green hills. On a walking tour, learn about the town’s unique layout before visiting cathedrals, palaces, and museums. Then tour Blato, a beautiful village and the main center of Korcula’s wine-growing district. Later, Callisto anchors at lovely Sipan Island for a swim. Dock in Dubrovnik this evening.
Sunday, August 23: Dubrovnik
TOUR: Set on a rocky peninsula jutting into the Adriatic, Dubrovnik is one of Europe’s best preserved medieval cities. Tour the Old Town’s Franciscan monastery, Dominican monastery,
and Baroque cathedral. Also, view the interior courtyard of the Rector’s Palace and the Cathedral of Our Lady. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure. Spend the night aboard ship docked in Dubrovnik.

Golf Leader
Rich Mueller joined Columbia University in 2005 as its Head Men & Women’s Golf Coach. In his three-year tenure, Mueller has been responsible for one U.S. Open Qualifier, one Ivy League Team Title, two Ivy League Individual Champions, and four Academic All-Americans. He was honored by the GCAA as Regional Coach of the Year in 2006. In 2007, Mueller was promoted to Director of Golf/Head Men’s Golf Coach. Currently a PGA Apprentice, he is a 1999 graduate of NYU and a four-year member of the Violets’ golf team. He received the team’s “Iron Horse” Award as a junior for his consistent play and earned team MVP honors as a senior captain. He earned a Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration from his alma mater in 2005. Coach Mueller looks forward to sharing this unique golfing experience with fellow travelers.
