Arrive into St. John’s, the atmospheric capital of Newfoundland founded in the 16th century. Accommodation is at the Delta St. John’s Hotel.
Sunday, June 14: Embark - St John's
GOLF: Play the opening round at Clovelly Golf Club, the Graham Cooke-designed championship
course and site of the 2000 Canadian Tour Open.
TOUR: Visit Cape Spear National Historic Site. Board local boats to Bay Bulls for an excursion to Witless Bay Ecological Reserve, where millions of seabirds come to breed every summer. Embark Clelia II in St. John’s and sail.
Monday, June 15: At Sea
Cruise in the Gulf of St. Lawrence to Nova Scotia.
Tuesday, June 16: Ingonish, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia
Arrive in Ingonish, nestled in a bay on the east coast of Cape Breton Island.
GOLF: Play Highland Links, a Stanley Thompson-designed masterpiece famous for its “out and back” routing that melds with its terrain’s shores, woodlands, and brooks.
TOUR: Explore Cape Breton Highlands National Park, among Canada’s most majestic conservancies, and its famed Cabot Trail.
Wednesday, June 16: Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island
GOLF: Once noted by Golf Digest as Canada’s Best New Course, The Links at Crowbush Cove boasts windswept water holes and pot bunkers, and overlooks Prince Edward Island’s north shore dunes.
TOUR: Enjoy a panoramic island tour, including colonial Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island
National Park, and the Anne of Green Gables House, observing some of the 200 bird species
found in its parkland setting.
Thursday, June 18: Gaspe, Quebec
TOUR: Gaspe is where Jacques Cartier first claimed Canada for France. From “Land’s End,”
visit the National Park of Bonaventure Island, which houses a migratory bird sanctuary with
the largest concentration of Northern Gannets in North America.
Friday, June 19: At Sea, Saguenay River
Navigate the Saguenay River, once an important trade route. From the ship’s deck, we are likely to spot a pod of whales.
Saturday, June 20: Quebec City
GOLF: Play Le Grand Vallon, an undulating course framed against the dramatic backdrop
of Mont-Sainte-Anne.
TOUR: Discover the old city walls, cobble stoned lanes, and cafes of picturesque Quebec City. Its undeveloped charm led UNESCO to designate it a World Heritage Site.
Sunday, June 21: Montreal
GOLF: Founded in 1873, Royal Montreal Golf Club is the oldest course in North America. Play its acclaimed Blue Course, touched up by renowned architect Rees Jones. The signature hole, No. 16, is a 444-yard par 4 that challenges the world’s top players.
TOUR: Stroll through Vieux-Montreal, the city’s old quarter; Notre Dame Basilica; and Mont-Royal Park. Then, sail from Montreal, beginning the transit through the St. Lawrence Seaway and its seven locks connecting the Atlantic with Lake Ontario.
Monday, June 22: The St. Lawrence Seaway & Thousand Islands, Lake Ontario
Continue navigating the St. Lawrence Seaway. Later in the day, sail through the scenic Thousand Islands region. In the afternoon, Clelia II cruises Lake Ontario.
Tuesday, June 23: Rochester, New York, USA
