Accommodation

Hilton Vilamoura

A wonderful new 5 star hotel nestled in five hectares of idyllic gardens, with enormous pools, hanging gardens and cascading waterways.  The hotel has distinctive Moorish influences, a state of the art Spa (the largest in Portugal) and a golf simulator for all you golf addicts.

Golf

The Old Course, Vilamoura

Set amidst umbrella pines, the Old Course is one of Portugal’s finest.  Played through avenues of umbrella pines accuracy is the key as course designer Frank Pennink wanted to create a course that would remind players of those beautiful, challenging inland British courses.

Vale do Lobo (Royal Course)

The Royal course combines 9 holes of the original layout and a brand new 9 designed by Rocky Roquemore.  Established as one of the premier courses on the Algarve, its signature hole is the cliff top par-three, 16th, quite simply breathtaking and a hole that every right minded golfer should want to take on.

Vila Sol Golf Club

An excellent course surrounded by umbrella pines, it provides a serene and unforgettable golfing experience.  Accuracy off the tee is all important and water comes into play on a number of holes before you can reach the excellent greens.  It has hosted the Portuguese Open on two occasions.

Sights / Activities

Cape St. Vincent

Europe's most south westerly point and the "Land's End" of Portugal.  The cape was the last glimpse of mainland Europe for many explorers heading off to discover the ‘New World’.

Monchique

Situated in between the two high hills and relatively untouched by tourism.  The town retains a rustic atmosphere with steep cobbled streets and small dark doorways.  A neglected 17th Century Franciscan monastery overlooks the town from which visitors have a panoramic view over the beautiful countryside.
