Blue Canyon Country Club (Lakes Course)
The Lakes course has plenty of water hazards - water comes into play on 17 holes! The Blue Canyon Lakes course front 9 holes run through a landscape of lakes and natural canyons, and the 18th hole is widely considered one of Thailand’s best finishing holes. The course underwent a total renovation in 2006 and in now on par with the more famous Canyon course. With less trick holes and a more honest test of golf the Lakes Course may be arguably the best 18 holes in Phuket.
Loch Palm Golf Club
Loch Palm is still one of Phuket’s most popular and enjoyable layouts and has recently completed a major re-design and upgrade. The short par-5 2nd is one of many holes that will test your nerve around water. Among several excellent holes on the back-nine, one of the best is the par-3 14th, played downhill to a green surrounded on three sides by water.
Phuket Country Club (Old Course)
A beautiful and older course where every hole provides something different and unusual highlighted by the 10th hole, a par 5 and plays nearly 560 yards dog-legging itself around a lake, although you can go for the green if you can carry it 300 yards. The clubhouse offers a panoramic view over the golf course with a poolside restaurant.
Laguna Phuket Golf Club
A tree lined, parkland style, Max Wexler course and host of Thailand Open. A resort course with pleasant breezes from the Andaman Sea. It is not too demanding and reflects the natural beauty and tropical surroundings of Bang Tao Bay. The front nine are particularly gentle; while some difficulty comes into play by the time you reach the turn. In fact, the finishing 2 holes, both par fives, are the most challenging; the monster 612 yard 17th, requiring play at least twice over water.
