Shenzhen Mission Hills Golf Resort

Is a large complex with 3 golf clubhouses (Shenzhen, Dongguan and Mid Valley) interconnected by the club's free shuttle. The shuttles run on a 30-min interval. From Shenzhen/Dongguan to Mid-Valley club house it takes approx 15 min while from Shenzhen to Dongguan takes approx 20 min. There are two hotels, one by the Shenzhen club house and one by the Dongguan club house. Therefore when choosing the courses and tee off times please take the traveling time into consideration.

World Cup Course

Designed by Jack Nicklaus and completed in 1994, this is the first course in China to be accredited by the US PGA for major professional competitions, and many of the world’s greatest players – including Tiger Woods and Greg Norman – have played on it. Winner of multiple international awards Mission Hills’ World Cup course is widely hailed as one of Asia’s best golfing experiences.

Annika Course

Annika Sorenstam’s first design credit features spectacular views of the natural terrain and mountains which rise more than 300m above the golf course. The dramatic elevations throughout the course provide panoramic tee shorts perched high above spacious fairways that cut through valleys. The par-4 18th hole, located next to a large natural lake, provides a classic finishing hole.

Duval Course

The Duval Course features numerous water hazards, deep groundcover and a mixture of long, short and multi-angled dogleg holes. The front-nine climbs to a secluded natural valley in the northeastern part of the site, and the finishing holes tumble down to the spacious, clubhouse setting. A stream meanders through many holes, forcing players to accurately place shots to avoid the natural water hazard.

Els Course

Measuring more than 7,000 yards, the Els Course follows a unique “core” layout in which no two holes run parallel. The signature fourth hole features a tee box atop the highest point on the course, providing golfers with panoramic views of Mission Hills Golf Club and the surrounding region.

Faldo Course

The Faldo Course at Mission Hills is China’s first “stadium course” and features the region’s only island green at the par-3 16th. Measuring nearly 7,000 yards from the back tees, it’s highlighted by mounding and earthen amphitheatres to improve the spectator experience. The 16th hole and drivable par-4 15th, are two of Asia’s most exciting holes.

Leadbetter Course

The world-renowned instructor devised a layout meant to challenge and teach players without intimidating. Generous fairways, short par 4s and drives from elevated tees are prevalent throughout. Yet it also features large, sand flashed bunkers and fairways that while wide, rarely yield a perfectly level lie.

Norman Course

Greg Norman’s 7,228-yard offering at Mission Hills includes narrow fairways surrounded by long, native grasses and dense forest vegetation, which contribute to the layout’s reputation as one of the most difficult courses in Asia. The front nine meanders through dramatic mountain ridges and hillsides, while the back nine lays gingerly in one of the property’s many lush valleys.

Olazabal Course

Jose Maria Olazabal’s inaugural signature course is one of the club’s strongest tests. It plays to more than 7,300 yards for the Omega Mission Hills World Cup, and boasts 155 bunkers (including 24 on No. 15 alone). Numerous majestic vistas of untouched jungle and natural flowing streams create outstanding backdrops throughout the golf course. Host of the 2007 and 2008 Omega Mission Hills World Cup.

Ozaki Course

The Ozaki Course takes advantage of its dramatic terrain offering elevated tees and fairways flanked by naturally occurring slopes. Large areas of turf and wide fairways, punctuated by strategic bunkering, contrast with tall slopes of native plants and trees. Dramatic long views often include serene lakes and the course’s small, challenging green complexes.

Vijay Course

Three-time major winner Vijay Singh has created a layout with a number of innovative design techniques, including the 150-yard beach bunker on the par-5 third hole, and the green complex literally perched atop a rock wall at the par-5 10th. In creating the course, Singh drew skillfully from famous designs around the world (including Pebble Beach), making it a favorite of both low-and high-handicappers.
