Milford Sound

Milford Sound is simply stunning and unmissable whilst visiting Queenstown. The huge fiords created by rivers of ice can be seen in many different moods, teeming with rain or with sun glistening on deep water and alongside the sound stands Mitre Peak, a remarkable presence dominating the skyline.

Lake Tekapo

This highland lake, in the centre of the South Island, was formed from the glacial melted waters and has a beautifully unique turquoise colour. The surrounding mountains and turquoise lake make for a spectacular backdrop. A visit to Lake Tekapo is a must for any visitor to the area.
