Royal Cape Golf Club

This course is a fine test of golf, especially when a south-easterly is blowing. A flat parkland course with lovely views of Table Mountain, Royal Cape golf course is a pleasure to play. The fairways are narrow and tree-lined. Wayward shots are penalised by trees and the greens are well bunkered.

Steenberg Golf Club

Steenberg golf course is rated as one of the top three courses in South Africa, while the Estate itself has earned global recognition as a flagship residential address. Situated just minutes from the centre of Cape Town, Steenberg is a first-class destination for fine dining, wines of origin and luxury hotel accommodation. Steeped in the Cape Dutch tradition, the Estate is a piece of time-crafted perfection some three centuries in the making.

Arabella Golf Club

Challenging enough to bring you back for more, enjoyable enough to make you not want to leave, Arabella golf course was designed by the renowned architect Peter Matkovich. His undoubted success has resulted in a course that complements the environment without disappointing the golfer, whether expert or amateur.

Named after the mountain range that overlooks it, Outeniqu is the sister course to Montague and offers a quite different playing experience. Although Outeniqua is regarded as the easier of the two courses, it has its share of challenges and risk-and-reward moments. Water hazards or streams come into play on as many as 11 of the holes, including 4 of the last 5.

Montagu, named after the Montagu pass was originally designed by Gary Player and is a much celebrated parkland course and has been ranked as the number-one golf course in South Africa in the past and is currently ranked as No. 7 (Golf Digest Rankings 2011). The exquisitely conditioned greens are at the heart of Fancourt, with its glorious parkland layout, covering large tracts of varying terrain on rolling land.
